Our client is a Top 10 civils and building UK wide contractor who are currently looking to employ an industry experienced Health & Safety Advisor to join the team on a permanent basis, working on a flagship project in Bradford. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years + experience and be NEBOSH qualified. This is a site based role on a project in Bradford, however occasional travel to other sites in the area may be required. Generous packages available for the right candidate including company benefits. £60-65k.
Reporting to the Group Health & Safety Manager, responsibilities to include:
- Carrying out site inspections/audits with photographic evidence and documented report
- Ensuring that all health and safety procedures are being adhered to
- Issuing H&S Templates to the internal team
- Monitor and report on site accidents and incidents and report through internal procedures
- Support and advise on H&S Management and compliance
- Work with department managers to implement a H&S culture
- Promote a proactive H&S approach/attitude among employees and site staff
- Support the Managing Director in developing/improving a healthy Health & Safety culture
Experience Required:
- NEBOSH or IOSH qualified
- CSCS holder
- Degree Qualified
- Previous Construction Contractor experience is desirable
- Direct experience of working on site or supporting project related Health & Safety
- Experience of working directly for the main contractor on large multimillion pound projects
- Excellent Communication Skills
- Commercial Awareness
- I.T. literate
- Ability to write clear concise reports
