Our client is a Top 10 civils and building UK wide contractor who are currently looking to employ an industry experienced Health & Safety Advisor to join the team on a permanent basis, working on a flagship project in Bradford. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years + experience and be NEBOSH qualified. This is a site based role on a project in Bradford, however occasional travel to other sites in the area may be required. Generous packages available for the right candidate including company benefits. Β£60-65k.

Reporting to the Group Health & Safety Manager, responsibilities to include:

  • Carrying out site inspections/audits with photographic evidence and documented report
  • Ensuring that all health and safety procedures are being adhered to
  • Issuing H&S Templates to the internal team
  • Monitor and report on site accidents and incidents and report through internal procedures
  • Support and advise on H&S Management and compliance
  • Work with department managers to implement a H&S culture
  • Promote a proactive H&S approach/attitude among employees and site staff
  • Support the Managing Director in developing/improving a healthy Health & Safety culture

Experience Required:

  • NEBOSH or IOSH qualified
  • CSCS holder
  • Degree Qualified
  • Previous Construction Contractor experience is desirable
  • Direct experience of working on site or supporting project related Health & Safety
  • Experience of working directly for the main contractor on large multimillion pound projects
  • Excellent Communication Skills
  • Commercial Awareness
  • I.T. literate
  • Ability to write clear concise reports
