Senior Quantity Surveyor – Northern Ireland with UK Travel
We are looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to manage the financial and contractual aspects of a £160M Heavy Civil Engineering Project. You will be responsible for overseeing cost and value engineering components, ensuring compliance with construction contracts, and providing strategic advice to the project team.
Responsibilities:
- Manage financial and contractual components of the £160M civil engineering project.
- Prepare and review bills of quantities, cost estimates and budgets.
- Interpret and apply JCT & NEC contracts, ensuring compliance.
- Negotiate contracts and variations with contractors and suppliers.
- Produce regular cost reports and forecasts.
- Collaborate with project managers, design teams and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying.
- Proven experience in large civil engineering projects.
- Strong knowledge of JCT & NEC contracts.
- Sound commercial awareness, organisational and communication skills.
- Excellent numerical, IT and problem‑solving skills.
- Willingness to travel to site frequently.
