Cobra are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Security Operations Manager to lead our operational teams and drive excellence across our Lisburn Head Office and surrounding service areas.
Position Overview: As the Security Operations Manager, you will be the driving force behind the day-to-day execution of our security services. You will oversee a dedicated team of security personnel, manage client relationships, ensure strict compliance with industry regulations, and maintain our high standards of operational readiness. This is a critical leadership role that requires a strategic thinker with exceptional crisis-management skills and a hands-on approach.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Leadership: Manage, mentor, and supervise security teams, supervisors, and mobile units operating across the region.
- Client Relationship Management: Act as the primary point of contact for key clients, conducting regular service reviews, addressing concerns, and identifying opportunities to expand security solutions.
- Compliance & Standards: Ensure all operations strictly adhere to relevant UK security regulations, licensing requirements, and company health and safety policies.
- Rostering & Resource Allocation: Oversee workforce planning, shift scheduling, and contingency planning to ensure adequate staffing and seamless service delivery 24/7.
- Incident Response: Lead the response to major security incidents, emergencies, or breaches, conducting thorough investigations and producing comprehensive incident reports.
- Training & Development: Collaborate with training coordinators to ensure all staff hold current certifications (e.g., SIA licenses) and receive ongoing professional development.
- Performance Monitoring: Track operational KPIs, conduct site audits, and implement continuous improvement strategies to optimize efficiency and reduce risk.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Experience: Proven track record in a senior security management or operational leadership role within the private security industry.
- Licensing: Valid SIA (Security Industry Authority) license(s) and a comprehensive understanding of current industry standards and legislation.
- Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and manage a diverse workforce in high-pressure environments.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, staff, and external authorities.
