Robertson Recruitment are looking for maintenance fitters. These candidates would have to be mechanically minded and have experience working with machines in a factory setting. This is a great time to join an expanding company and a great chance to develop your skills as a mechanical fitter.
For the first couple of weeks, you will be trained on the day shift doing an 8:00am - 4:30pm Monday to Friday.
Maintenance fitter working hours: 4 on 4 off shift pattern. 6:00pm - 6:00am. Please be aware you will get shift allowance on this shift too.
Maintenance fitter responsibilities:
- Responsible for the day-to-day operation of the manufacturing assets.
- Carrying out general maintenance, repairs and investigations to enable diagnosis and rectification issues with plant with support from team members.
- Ensuring all relevant reports are completed and contain required levels of data and that the information is correct.
- Experience with hydraulics and pneumatic hoses and circuits.
- Replacing bearings and rollers when required.
- Welding and fabrication tasks required.
- Able to do PPM checks.
- Able to fix basic electrical faults.
- Maintaining a clean and tidy site.
Maintenance fitter skills:
- Proven mechanical/electrical maintenance experience in an industrial environment.
- Good working knowledge on industrial pumps, gearboxes, hydraulics and other plant and equipment.
- Apprenticeship trained or time served.
