Overview
CSP is seeking an experienced and proactive HR Generalist to support the wider HR and Training team. As the HR Generalist, you will be involved in building professional relationships with key management across the business, supporting in employee relations, engagement activities and employee development. This is a hands-on role, based in our Head Office in Watford, with opportunities to make a real difference.
What You Will Be Doing
- Ensure responsive and high-quality HR services are provided to key stakeholders, whilst maintaining compliance with all company policies and employment legislation.
- Work with the wider HR team to manage the recruitment and onboarding process. This will include writing job descriptions and adverts, sourcing candidates, screening and interviewing.
- Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues, ensuring fair and consistent application of company policies. This might include advising and guiding junior members of the team with their cases.
- Advise and support management on performance, disciplinary, and grievance procedures.
- Provide support and advice to employees on personal or work-related issues, referring them to appropriate services when necessary.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations alongside the rest of the team.
- Support the Head of HR & Training in delivering departmental objectives and ad hoc projects.
- With the support of the Head of HR & Training, create and deliver People Management training as required.
- Support in the roll out of annual and biannual appraisals across the business; offering training, support and guidance to managers as required.
- Support with the roll out of quarterly employee surveys and analysis of data.
- Provide reports and data to support in organisational planning and monitoring.

- A salary of £36,050 – £40,400 per annum (pro-rated and dependent on experience)
- 21 to 25 hour working week, between Monday and Friday

What We Need From You
- Proven HR experience, ideally in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong ability to prioritise tasks and work to tight deadlines.
- Proactive mindset with a high level of initiative.
- Knowledge of UK employment law and HR compliance.
- Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal—with confidence liaising across all levels.
- CIPD Level 5 or above is desirable.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and knowledge of HRIS.
