Salary: £48,000 per annum subject to experience

Hours: 37 hours per week
We have an opportunity to join the Property Services team as a Lifts Safety Inspector. You’ll be responsible for carrying out surveys and safety inspections of passenger, personal lifts and for providing technical advice on lift replacement, remedial faults and making improvements.
Within the service the team provide, you will be ensuring;
- That the quality of services provided to all customers is always legislatively compliant and meets the requirements set out by governing bodies and wider good industry practice.
- The delivery of servicing, works and maintenance activity meets all required standards of performance, including time, cost, quality and customer satisfaction.
- That all certification and documentation is produced in accordance with agreed procedures.
- Assistance is provided to complete regular audit and reconciliation of data for Aster’s systems.
You will be carrying out periodic equipment and asset inspections, as well as carrying out unplanned inspections following alterations or repair to ensure that all relevant findings are documented and action is taken where required.
About you
You will hold qualifications in Safe Working on Lifts and release of trapped passengers (BS7255, LOLER & SAFed).
You will have experience of repairing and or installing lifts and lifting equipment.
You’ll have received training in and have relevant experience in the requirements of the Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998 (LOLER) and the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations (PUWER).
You will understand the current issues concerning legislative requirements in social housing.And will have a working knowledge of service charge principles.
You will have the ability to read and understand technical specifications, with a creative approach to problem solving.
Good customer service will be extremely important to you and you’ll feel passionate about the service the team provide.
This is primarily a field-based role covering our portfolio across the South of England.
We will provide you with a company vehicle, so you’ll need to have full UK manual driving licence and be comfortable driving across the region.

Successful applicants will be required to complete a Basic DBS check.
