Areyou a qualified carpenter looking for a change? We are looking for a Carpenter to join our East Dorset team.

Whatyou’ll be doing You’ll be completing a range of carpentry works includingfitting kitchen units, kitchen worktops, plinths, wall tiling, bath panels andhanging doors, both internal and external. You’ll also fit grab rails andshower seats when required, along with any other works associated with generalcarpentry.

Aworking knowledge of other trades, such as plumbing, is also required, with theability to use this knowledge as directed by your line manager. You’ll beworking in our customers’ homes, so you’ll have a customer service focus to getto the bottom of problems and find the right solution.

You’llwork as part of a team of trades, so there’ll always be someone available tosupport you when needed. You’ll need to be comfortable working at height,including from ladders, tower working platforms and mobile elevated workplatforms.

Internally,you will be known as a Carpenter Level 1.

Aboutyou

  • Have a carpentry qualification,NVQ or equivalent
  • Have experience carrying outcarpentry repairs and installations
  • Be able to identify the cause ofproblems and specify the materials needed to complete repairs
  • Have a good working knowledge ofother trades such as plumbing
  • Be confident using IT, includingPDAs and smartphones
  • Have good communication skillsand be confident dealing with customers in their homes
  • Be able to work independentlyand manage your own workload, as well as work well as part of a team andalongside other trade operatives
  • Be comfortable working at heightwhen required

Wewill provide you with a company van, so you will need to be comfortabletravelling between customer’s homes around East Dorset and have a full UKmanual driving licence.
