Position Summary
CSN provides a full range of auto body repair services, including collision repair, scratch and dent repair, paintless dent repair, high-end refinishing, windshield and glass repair, and 24/7 accident assistance. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare vehicle surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and applying primer
- Sand surfaces using hand tools and power equipment to achieve a smooth finish
- Mask and protect areas of the vehicle that are not being painted
- Remove dirt, debris, and imperfections to ensure proper paint adhesion
- Assist with mixing paint and primers according to manufacturer specifications
- Support the operation and maintenance of painting equipment and tools
- Work collaboratively with the paint team to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality results
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow all safety procedures and shop guidelines
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management
Qualifications
- Previous experience as an automotive prepper or in a collision repair environment preferred
- Knowledge of surface preparation techniques including sanding, masking, priming, and cleaning
- Ability to properly prep vehicles and parts for paint according to OEM and shop standards
- Familiarity with materials and tools such as sanders, fillers, masking tape, and spray equipment
- Strong attention to detail to ensure high-quality paint finishes
- Ability to follow instructions from painters and production managers
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Physically capable of standing for long periods, bending, lifting, and working with tools/equipment
- Basic understanding of workplace safety practices and PPE usage
- Valid driver’s license
