An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Seqirus as the Regional Ethics & Compliance Officer - International. Reporting to the Ethics & Compliance Lead, Seqirus, you will play a critical role in implementing and strengthening the Ethics & Compliance (E&C) framework across the International region (excluding the Americas). You will partner closely with business leaders across Commercial, Medical Affairs, R&D, Manufacturing, and enabling functions and take a solutions focused approach to drive the ongoing development of an ethics and compliance risk aware organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Implementing and executing Ethics & Compliance strategies, programs, and operational plans across the International region
- Acting as a trusted compliance advisor and subject matter expert to business stakeholders
- Conducting and maintaining compliance risk assessments and controls mapping
- Providing ongoing solutions-focused and business enabling Ethics & Compliance risk advice on regulatory requirements, industry codes, and internal policies in the International Region.
- Supporting compliance programs including policies, training, communications, and monitoring
- Managing investigations including Speak Up matters
- Driving third-party due diligence and onboarding processes
- Collaborating closely with Enterprise Risk and Monitoring & Assurance stakeholders to support Ethics & Compliance reporting, governance and risk-based monitoring and testing.
- Leading compliance risk discussions and action planning
- Proactively engages and partners with the relevant Legal and Business colleagues
- Monitoring regulatory developments and emerging risks
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Risk Management, Law, or related discipline (advanced degree preferred)
- 10+ years' experience in compliance or risk management
- Experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or life sciences sectors preferred
- Strong understanding of compliance frameworks and regulations
- Demonstrated ability to identify emerging risks and trends, think strategically about complex risk issues, and deliver pragmatic, solutions-oriented and business enabling advice.
- Strong key strategic and business partnering skills and fosters a solution focused, pragmatic and business empowering approach to all E&C related matters.
- Unleashes outcomes and creates an environment of decision making and appropriate risk taking
- Proven ability to implement compliance programs and manage complex projects
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Analytical mindset and pragmatic, risk-based approach
- Ability to work in a cross-functional, cross-cultural matrixed environment
- Commitment to being part of a global team, including required meetings across different time-zones
- Ability and willingness to travel to other company sites globally
This is a hybrid position requiring working 3 days per week at the Maidenhead Head office location.
