Shift Team Leader

• Manages a team of production employees and activities in assigned area to assure timely production in accordance with company policies and regulations
• Develops and implements manufacturing schedules and procedures and allocates labor and capital resources to maximize productivity
• Plans and manages production line maintenance and downtimes to minimize disruptions to manufacturing schedules
• Ensures the effective use of materials, equipment and employees in producing quality products
• Evaluates and manages employees in assigned area; manages the labor pool and labor expenses within assigned areas
• Formulates and recommends manufacturing policies, procedures and programs
• Prepares documentation, reports and standard operating procedures as required
• Provides support and prioritization for process improvements
• Ensures budgets, schedules and performance requirements are metQualifications:Bachelor degree, or equivalent in related field, or equivalent vocational or technical education
• 5 or more years manufacturing experience
• 0–3 years’ managerial experience in a pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or biological industry
• Knowledge and experience in formulation, filling, automated inspection, or packaging technologies is preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of GMPs and FDA requirements is required.
