Accurate tax accounting is essential to how a global organisation meets its obligations and maintains financial integrity. In this role, you will be part of the team that makes that happen — supporting the tax function through transactional postings and local tax filings, and ensuring the underlying numbers are right. This is an operational role within the Accounting Transactions Team, reporting to the Manager, Tax & Intercompany. You will work regularly with colleagues across global finance teams and external audit providers, contributing to a function where accuracy and reliability genuinely matter.

If you are looking to develop your experience in transactional tax accounting within a global finance environment, and you enjoy working collaboratively across a range of finance functions, this role offers a solid platform to do that.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Preparing and reviewing indirect tax working files
  • Preparing and posting monthly tax journals and reviewing related reconciliations
  • Supporting the preparation and filing of VPAG returns
  • Raising manual journals as required
  • Responding to queries from external auditors
  • Supporting external tax providers with indirect tax filings and queries
  • Contributing to continuous improvement plans and projects within the team
  • Providing ad hoc support across the team as needed

You will work closely with the CSL Account-to-Report, Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable teams, as well as Global FP&A, Tax and Treasury teams, in‑country Finance Business Partners and Heads of Finance, and external audit providers.

What You’ll Bring

You will hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline, and have at least three years of experience in accounting and finance, including exposure to complex transactional accounting functions. Experience in the global scientific or pharmaceutical industry is desirable but not essential. The role requires someone who can:

  • Think through irregular or non‑routine issues
  • Make timely decisions and manage priorities effectively
  • Apply strong analytical thinking to their work
  • Operate in an organised and agile way
  • Maintain a high level of attention to detail
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships across multiple teams and levels, including Finance Business Partners and Finance Centres of Excellence
  • Experience with SAP is advantageous
