This is an international role within the Pandemic & Outbreak commercial team, requiring strong interaction with cross-functional teams, including Supply Chain, Finance, Regulatory Affairs, Medical Affairs, Legal, and Quality Team.
Optimising access to the capacity available from the launch of a new vaccine manufacturing facility and increased response capacity.
- Lead the development and writing of complex bids or proposals in response to requests for proposals (RFPs) or tender invitations.
- Develop and implement winning bid strategies based on thorough analysis of customer requirements, market intelligence and trends.
- Maintain robust tender and contract management practices and use experience and on-the-job learning to drive continual improvement and internal efficiencies.
- Contribute to the Pandemic & Outbreak strategic and tactical planning and operational plan implementation.
- Support operational planning in the International context.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in sciences, business or related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in any of the following: bid/proposal management, business development, business-to-business account management, supply chain procurement, ideally in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry or related sector.
- A high level of confidence, integrity, political acumen and hands-on approach to problem solving as well as a professional presence for interacting with senior management and government customers.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, project management and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to adapt and operate calmly between short and long-term plans and be agile to manage rapid changes.
- Ability to travel up to 20% (domestic or internationally).
Knowledge of Pandemic influenza and/or COVID-19 vaccine commercialisation is a significant advantage.
