The Process Technician (Downstream) role holder will be a key employee in the manufacturing organisation.
They will help provide (be trained in) the technical skill-sets necessary to manufacture high quality vaccines in a compliant, efficient, and cost-effective manner.
1. To work in a safe manner in compliance with all pertinent UK legislation, CSL Seqirus mandatory policies, guidelines and site procedures for Health, Safety and Environment.
2. When manufacturing, ensure that all Departmental SOPs and MIs are followed and:
- Ensure appropriate control, monitoring and delivery of activities in their area of work.
- Ensure that all documentation is completed correctly, accurately in a timely manner and signed by the relevant personnel.
- Carry out final documentation review and sign off to ensure documentation is right first time.
- Ensure compliance to Health and Safety regulations, policies and procedures.
- Consistently demonstrate the behaviours necessary to create a safe working environment for themselves and their colleagues.
- Preferred but not essential knowledge/awareness of MES and PCS, SAP (good receipting and inventory management) and GLIMS.

To actively maintain and promote a cGMP compliant culture, ensure that the highest standards of housekeeping and safety are applied within the area in accordance with Annex 1 and CFR regulations. Be a strong advocate for change and apply principles of Lean Manufacturing, Data-driven decision making, Problem Solving, 5S, Waste Elimination, and Energy Efficient Activities in support of Continuous Improvement. Experience of working in Grade C environment is preferred.

To maximise individual contribution to achieve team objectives. Work as a team member, providing and receiving support and feedback to team members and leaders. Communicate and liaise with other teams, customers, and suppliers to meet business objectives. Support other departments when required, provided adequate training and safety are ensured. Suggest solutions to arising issues; communicate effectively, including escalation when necessary; confirm completion of activities/tasks as requested.

Attend all compulsory and allocated training courses. Complete training timely and keep personal training records updated. Continuously develop new skills, competencies, and behaviours to meet current and future business needs. Demonstrate application of skills for the role.

Contribute ideas and actions to improve team, process, and equipment performance. Support process improvement initiatives and uphold Seqirus Values and Behaviours.

Support organisational change and process improvements.
Qualifications:
English & Mathematics, Science GCSE.
Intermediate computer skills.
12 months minimum experience in a Grade C Cleanroom environment.
SAP experience preferred.
Experience in influenza manufacture, ideally downstream processes, preferred.
Experience with computer-based systems such as MES, PCS, and GLIMS preferred.
Qualifications or responsibilities may vary based on local legal and educational requirements.
