Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic direction for the manufacturing area of the facility to meet global demand for intermediates and finished products.
- Oversee and guide the development, planning, implementation, and maintenance of manufacturing methods, processes, and operations for new and existing products and technologies.
- Work closely with the quality group to ensure compliance with manufacturing management and quality control standards for pharmaceuticals and medical products, making decisions on key compliance issues.
- Be responsible for planning optimal utilisation of workforce, equipment, and materials through effective production management techniques; manage cost reduction activities while controlling manufacturing costs to achieve budget targets.
- Collaborate with engineering, R&D, and quality control departments to develop, implement, and monitor strategies to improve operational efficiency at the manufacturing facility; introduce approaches that enable sustainable increases in production volume.
- Establish and maintain best practice exchanges in manufacturing and production with other CSL facilities.
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a scientific or management field; an MBA is preferred.
- A minimum of 15 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, including familiarity with regulatory compliance.
- Practical experience in at least two of the following areas: manufacturing/production, research and development, quality control, supply chain, technical services/engineering.
- 10 years of experience managing multi-level teams in a multi-operation facility and experience in developing high-performing teams.
