The purpose of the role of Procurement Enablement Lead - ESG, Governance, Training & Development is responsible for developing, in close alignment with the Corporate Governance team, and executing the Procurement ESG Strategy across the entire Procurement. The role is also responsible for driving the entire reporting function in collaboration with the CoE. The role is accountable for the Procurement Governance process, including Policies and Procedures, Guidelines as well as owning the Procurement DOI Project management and Savings Process. The role is also accountable for the ongoing as well as ad-hoc savings reporting to CPO, PLT, and COO. The role is responsible for the development and implementation of a global Procurement Academy based on the Procurement Capability Framework. The role will own the Procurement Talent Strategy, which will be developed in collaboration with PLT and CPO. The execution of the strategy as well as the development and implementation of the academy will be in collaboration with CPO, PLT, HR, as external partners. Once the academy is developed, the role will assume full accountability for its day-to-day operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- The main responsibilities and accountabilities for this role evolve around the areas of Governance, Policies, ESG, and Training and Development.
- The role is responsible for the area of Procurement Policies, securing the setup, management and updates of the Global Procurement process as well as the adjoining policies that may be applicable.
- The role is responsible for the Procurement Governance model, as designed in the DOI and Savings methodology.
- The role is accountable for Procurement Savings reporting to CPO, PLT, COO, and the rest of the GLG.
- The role is responsible for the setup and accountable for the management of the Procurement ESG strategy and subsequent reporting thereof.
- The role is responsible for the setup and then accountable for the management of a global procurement academy and as well as the formation of a Procurement Talent Strategy. The development responsibility for this is shared with HR.
Policies and Governance
- Owns the setup, management and retirement of Procurement related SOPs.
- Own and drive the compliance reporting for the procurement related SOPs.
- The role owns the procurement project management process (DOI) as well as the RACI and is responsible for its continuous development.
- Validate procurement data and reporting outputs to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Act as the point of contact and escalation for compliance-related issues within the procurement function.
- Support audit readiness and documentation management to maintain governance standards.
- Aligns with the Operations Lead for Analytics to report on compliance, savings targets etc.
ESG strategy and execution
- Owning the setup of the Procurement ESG strategy and roadmap, based on the Corporate ESG strategy and drive the collaboration with the category and sourcing teams to ensure inclusion of ESG aspects in all our procurement activities.
- Stakeholder management within and outside of global procurement – driving the Procurement ESG agenda.
- ESG reporting – collaboration with CoE as well as the Operations Lead Analytics to secure compliant and timely reporting.
Procurement Academy & Capability Building
- Design and implement a Procurement Academy to uplift procurement capability across all levels (foundational to advanced).
- Define a clear capability framework, competency models, and learning pathways aligned to business and procurement and curate learning content (e.g., SRM, category management, negotiation, digital procurement, change management).
- Partner with HR and external providers to deliver blended learning solutions (formal training, coaching, communities of practice).
- Track and report on capability maturity, learning effectiveness, and impact on procurement performance.
Process oversight and improvement
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and user experience.
- Collaborate with the Procurement Excellence Manager and other stakeholders to drive continuous improvement initiatives across the enterprise.
- Support the development and refinement of procurement systems and tools.
Change & Stakeholder Leadership
- Act as a change leader, embedding new ways of working and driving adoption across procurement and the wider business.
- Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders and influence outcomes without direct authority.
- Lead, coach, and develop procurement operations and enablement resources.
- Create clear communication, engagement, and change management plans to support transformation initiatives.

Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or related discipline is required.
- Postgraduate qualifications or certifications in procurement operations, governance, or process improvement (e.g., Lean Six Sigma) are desirable.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 8+ years of experience in procurement operations, shared services, or governance roles.
- Proven success in managing procurement execution teams and driving operational performance.
- Strong background in compliance, process improvement, and stakeholder engagement.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and shared service environments.
