The Director, Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) serves as a strategic advisor and thought partner to the Senior Vice President, Corporate & External Affairs, and the Executive Vice President, Legal & Group General Counsel. This role provides HR leadership and expertise to support business priorities, drive talent strategies, and enhance organizational effectiveness. As a key member of the Corporate & External Affairs and Legal leadership teams, the HRBP proactively partners with senior leaders to ensure a high performing, engaged workforce that enables business success. The role aligns HR solutions with business needs, ensuring strategic workforce planning, talent development, and culture initiatives support the company’s long-term goals. The role reports to the Executive Director, HRBP Enabling Functions.

Responsibilities include:

  • Strategic HR Leadership
    • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, providing strategic guidance on workforce planning, talent development, and organizational effectiveness.
    • Develop and implement HR strategies that align with business objectives, ensuring a people-first approach that drives company performance.
    • Provide counsel on complex employee relations matters, risk mitigation, and compliance with employment laws across multiple jurisdictions.
    • Lead HR initiatives that support transformation, growth, and business innovation.
  • Talent Management & Leadership Development
    • Partner with leaders to identify and develop key talent, ensuring a strong leadership pipeline.
    • Drive succession planning efforts, aligning leadership capability with long-term business needs.
    • Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I) strategies, fostering an inclusive workplace culture.
    • Support leadership development programs that enhance capabilities and readiness for future business challenges.
  • Organizational Design & Change Management
    • Drive organizational design initiatives that enhance agility, efficiency, and scalability.
    • Partner with business leaders to lead and manage change, ensuring smooth transitions and adoption of new ways of working.
    • Assess and evolve team structures, capabilities, and skills to meet evolving business demands.
  • Culture & Employee Experience
    • Influence and shape a high-performance culture that reflects the company's values and strategic priorities.
    • Act as a champion for employee engagement, leveraging insights from feedback mechanisms (e.g., engagement surveys) to drive meaningful action.
    • Address workplace challenges proactively, ensuring a positive and productive employee experience.
  • HR Operations & Business Enablement
    • Ensure HR policies and practices align with business needs while maintaining compliance with local and global regulations.
    • Utilize HR analytics and workforce insights to inform business decisions.
    • Partner with Centre’s of Excellence (COEs) in areas such as Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, and Learning & Development to deliver integrated HR solutions.

Qualifications, skills & Experience

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 12+ years of progressive HR experience, including leadership roles in a multinational organization. Strong business acumen with experience supporting senior executives and navigating complex, matrixed environments. Proven success in talent management, leadership development, and organizational effectiveness. Expertise in change management, HR strategy development, and cultural transformation. Strong influencing and relationship-building skills, with the ability to challenge and support senior leaders. Global HR experience and understanding of employment laws across multiple jurisdictions preferred. Experience working in a fast-paced, matrixed, and global environment, with an ability to influence and drive change. Proficiency in HR analytics tools, Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualization software (e.g., Power BI).
