The Senior Analyst: International Logistics is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations pertaining to shipping, receiving and storage activities for all CSL Behring Manufacturing sites globally.

The role includes coordinating and managing distribution and warehousing activity, including activities at internal plant warehouses and contracted third party warehouses relating to service, cost, integrity, and communications to deliver exceptional results and meet financial targets.

Responsibilities include: –

  • Managing sales order processing, including receiving and processing orders for export, by determining order reason codes, performing export order validation checks, reviewing and resolving order exceptions, fulfilling the order when inventory is available, or rejecting the order and communicating with the customer, as well as managing all appropriate documentation

  • Driving delivery management, including creating outbound delivery, selecting orders for delivery, conducting availability checks, coordinating with third-party logistics partners if necessary, and creating and maintaining all relevant documentation

  • Managing stock transport order processing by verifying and validating critical data components, including intercompany partner data for vendors and customers as well as supplying and receiving plants, and pricing and import-related information

  • Processing complex letters of credit from the first assessment until completion for submission to the bank entity, including conducting specific review of the requirements of the letter of credit regarding documentation and contents, authentication, and scheduling.

  • Working in close collaboration with the relevant departments of the individual manufacturing sites, e.g., Treasury, Quality as well as the Customer.

  • Coordinating authentication through the chamber of commerce, federal authorities and embassies

  • Conducting specific review of externally created documents relevant for the letters of credit and coordination of external and internal service provider (carriers, insurance companies, Quality, etc.

  • Ordering of freight and cargo services from external service providers, including preparing forecasts of demands regarding sea-freight containers, refrigeration systems for air freight transports, and ensuring the availability at the corresponding external service providers

  • Reviewing and verifying freight invoices against the agreed freight charges and rates

  • Monitoring the current freight costs against budget/forecast

  • Contributing to monthly reports and finance forecasts

  • Commenting on deviations in connection with the sales-budget/forecasts

  • Monitoring actual delivery volumes versus plan

  • Preparing monthly KPIs using SAP BI, including analysis of the deliveries with the purpose of optimizing the global transportation costs

  • Collaborating on analysis for the National Institute of Statistics

  • Contributing to continuous optimization of the order management processes within own area of responsibility

  • Providing support concerning the documentation of processes, including preparation of the procedural documentation of trainings

  • Participating in the preparation and in the updating process of SOPs (global Participate in projects within Global Logistic

  • Providing training for new team members and trainees on the order management processes at the different manufacturing sites

  • Providing training for internal guidelines (in agreement with the direct report line manager) as well as training for external guidelines (e.g., new country/region requirements

  • Settling complaints and insurance claims according to described procedures and instructions in agreement with the subject matter expert departments of the different manufacturing sites

  • Completing financial processing (credit and debit notes) for the Finance Department

  • Preparing returns in coordination with the subject matter experts of the manufacturing sites and processing the return

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain; studies in Transportation, Logistics or Management or related field preferred Local language

  • German and English language fluency

  • Minimum of 3 years of logistics or supply chain experience

  • Experience working in and knowledge of various aspects of warehousing, distribution, inventory control, export and transportation preferred

  • Ability to work independently as well as working collaboratively

  • Demonstrated critical thinking/problem solving skills required

  • Proficient in MS Office Suite including Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Project and Word, Experience with GDRS and Track Wise
