Join Our Team as Senior Director and Site Head of Maintenance and Utilities!, Are you a strategic leader with a passion for excellence in maintenance and utilities management? We are looking for an experienced professional to join our team as the Site Head of Maintenance and Utilities , responsible for ensuring operational efficiency, safety, governance, and compliance at our site. In this Senior Director level role you will report into the Vice President and Site Head., Lead & Develop Teams – Provide strong leadership to the Maintenance & Utilities teams, fostering collaboration, accountability, and high performance.
Champion Safety Culture – Drive a proactive safety culture, ensuring that all safety protocols, procedures, and best practices are strictly followed and continuously improved.
Ensure Governance & Compliance – Maintain strict adherence to regulatory and statutory requirements, ensuring operations align with cGMPs, FDA regulations, and international guidelines.
Optimize Operations – Oversee predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance efforts to maintain seamless plant operations while enhancing equipment reliability and infrastructure stability.
Drive Continuous Improvement – Lead process enhancements, implement best practices, and conduct thorough root cause analyses to prevent issues and improve efficiency.
Manage Budgets & Projects – Develop and monitor departmental budgets, oversee investment projects, and support capital expenditure planning with a strategic mindset.
Enhance Cross-Functional Collaboration – Work closely with Manufacturing, Quality, and Engineering to ensure alignment, operational excellence, and compliance.
Educational Background: university degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Engineering, Process Engineering, or equivalent; MS or MBA preferred.
Experience: 10+ years in ideally pharmaceutical operations, including managerial experience in engineering.
Expertise: Strong knowledge of cGMPs, FDA regulations, and biopharmaceutical manufacturing processes.
Leadership Skills: Proven ability to develop talent, drive engagement, and instill a culture of accountability and safety.
Safety & Compliance Focus: Demonstrated experience in ensuring safety culture adherence and regulatory compliance within complex operations.
Technical Proficiency: Experience in process engineering, energy systems, calibration, and troubleshooting manufacturing equipment.
Problem-Solving Ability: Strong analytical skills with structured decision-making capabilities.
Communication Skills: Strong communication skills in German and English at both shop-floor and board-room acumen.
