The predicted salary is between 50000 - 60000 £ per year.
The role provides the UK CIO with dedicated governance support as part of the execution, oversight, and coordination of key activities and processes across the Technology function. This includes, but is not limited to, the following activities:
- Support and act on behalf of the UK CIO for day-to-day management activities and ensure appropriate risk and control and regulatory requirements are met.
- Partner with UK CIO senior leadership teams to drive the performance and cultural change needed in a high-performance organisation, engaging with and influencing senior executives across the Group.
- Partner across the UK CIO functions to review strategy and translate into clear, simplified messaging for internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide strategic oversight and support of governance activities, including authoring and management of the UK CIO Leadership Team papers, actions, and updates; partner with governance teams from the business and functions across the bank as needed.
- Ensure the UK CIO is fully prepared and briefed for key meetings, including supplier, customer, and regulatory meetings.
- Oversee key administration services, including responsibility for external events, off-sites, and key travels taken by the UK CIO.
Responsibilities:
- Governance of Strategy Execution: Support the tactical and longer-term UK CIO strategy by working closely with the CIO Leadership Team stakeholders.
- Proactively monitor and manage the execution of the UK CIO strategy through the production of scorecards and supporting insight for the CIO and CIO executive team.
- Responsible for the overall scheduling and running of the periodic UK CIO Governance forums and Leadership team meetings, driving actions through to completion and logging decisions.
- Actively input into management reports, presentations, and papers, providing periodic updates for the UK CIO as required.
- Investigate emerging risks and issues, provide reports, and form recommendations for action as directed by the UK CIO.
- Manage the UK CIO commitments across all group level governance forums, including writing and reviewing papers for steering committees, risk forums, and executive committees.
- Responsible for the management and documentation of SMF24 accountability, including regular review and maintenance of Statements of Responsibilities (SoRs), accurate mapping of accountabilities, timely updates as structures change, and regulatory alignment of reporting.
Customers and Stakeholders:
- External Stakeholders: Provide analysis and support to external parties (e.g. regulators) as needed, either in response to queries/audits or proactively through stakeholder management.
- Internal Stakeholders: Engage with stakeholders across CIO to support delivery of the Group CIO’s objectives, ensuring regulatory and legal commitments are met and providing proactive issue management.
- Develop strong relationships with Global Businesses, Group Functions, and GCOO executive team to support the CIO priorities.
- Encourage diversity at all levels of the CIO organisation.
