We are seeking a seasoned API Platform Lead to manage the development and deployment of enterprise-level API platforms in both non-prod and prod environments. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in setting up multi-region Azure API Management platforms, with a strong focus on security, best practices, and efficient configurations. This role involves leading a team to build and deploy the API platform on Azure, collaborating closely with customers, managing stakeholder expectations, and planning for the successful execution of the project.
Technical Expertise:
API Design and Development: Proficiency in designing, developing, and deploying APIs using Azure API Management and other Azure services.
- Extensive experience with .NET framework, API development, and microservices (.NET core, c#, RESTful APIs, Microservices, SQL, Integration Patterns)
- Expertise in integrating APIs with different systems and services, including on-premises and cloud-based solutions.
Security:
Knowledge of API security best practices, including OAuth, JWT, API keys, and Azure Active Directory integration. Microservices Architecture: Experience with microservices architecture and containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Management and Leadership:
Project Management: Ability to manage API projects from conception to deployment, including requirement gathering, planning, and execution. Team Leadership: Experience in leading and mentoring a team of developers and engineers. Stakeholder Communication: Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams. Strategic Planning: Capability to align API strategies with business objectives and create roadmaps for API development and deployment.

Troubleshooting: Strong problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve API-related issues.

CI/CD Pipelines:
Experience in setting up continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using Azure DevOps. Version Control: Proficiency with version control systems like Git. Scripting and Automation: Skills in scripting and automation to streamline development and deployment processes.
- Compliance and Governance: Standards and Compliance: Knowledge of industry standards and regulatory compliance related to APIs, such as GDPR, HIPAA, and other relevant regulations. Governance: Ability to implement API governance policies and best practices. Customer Focus: User Experience: Understanding of the importance of user experience in API design. '
