CSH is looking for motivated and caring Band 3 Podiatry Assistants to support our Podiatry team in delivering high-quality foot health care across community, clinic and hospital settings. You will assist with routine clinical tasks, patient preparation, basic foot care, equipment setup, and maintaining safe, clean clinical environments. The role also includes administrative duties such as updating patient records, supporting the appointment process, stock ordering and contributing to audits and service improvement.

You will work under the supervision of registered Podiatrists and provide compassionate patient-centred support. Full training and supervision will be provided.

The role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, is passionate about patient care and is looking to develop skills within the Podiatry profession.

Responsibilities:
  • Undertake delegated clinical tasks such as basic nail care, skin care and wound care preparation within scope of practice.
  • Organise and assist in nail surgery, including clerical duties and monitoring of patients during the procedures.
  • Prepare clinical rooms, equipment and materials in line with infection prevention and control standards.
  • Monitor and restock consumables and maintain cleanliness of clinical areas.
  • Undertake home visiting of patients assessed as suitable by the podiatrist.
  • Assist with appointment booking, patient records and data entry using electronic clinical systems.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with trust policies and professional standards.
  • Work collaboratively with the Podiatry team and wider multidisciplinary colleagues.
  • Attend mandatory training and engage with ongoing learning to expand knowledge skills relevant to the role.
