We are seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to support the delivery, reliability, and scalability of modern software platforms and infrastructure. This role focuses on cloud operations, automation, CI/CD, and operational best practices to enable efficient and secure software delivery across engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure and services.
- Administer and automate VMware vSphere environments and virtual machines.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts for deployment, testing, and infrastructure management.
- Support and optimise CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub, GitHub Actions, and TeamCity.
- Manage application deployments, configuration, monitoring, and operational support.
- Develop backup, recovery, rollback, and disaster recovery strategies.
- Ensure infrastructure is secure, scalable, highly available, and aligned with best practices.
- Support compliance with security standards, including ISO 27001 principles.
- Collaborate with developers, infrastructure, security, and operational teams to support the software development lifecycle.
- Maintain clear technical and operational documentation.
Skills & Experience
Essential
- Strong commercial experience in a DevOps, Infrastructure, or Operations role.
- Extensive experience with AWS cloud services and infrastructure management.
- Experience deploying and supporting cloud-hosted applications.
- VMware vSphere administration and automation experience.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, automation, monitoring, and infrastructure best practices.
- Knowledge of networking and cybersecurity fundamentals.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Proactive mindset with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Desirable
- Experience with Git or other version control systems.
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code and modern DevOps tooling.
