Responsibilities

  • Act as Principal Designer under the Building Safety Act for modular construction projects (excluding higher‑risk buildings).
  • Coordinate design activities to manage and reduce building safety risks and ensure statutory compliance across off‑site manufacture and on‑site installation.
  • Work closely with the Design and Estimating team to manage initial designs and pricing for projects.
  • Adapt existing buildings and further develop them through client discussions and commercial approvals.
  • Be measured on the delivery of projects ranging from £500,000 to £15,000,000, ensuring they are finished smoothly, on time, to specification and maintain overall quality.
  • Play a key role in supporting the company’s growth and in providing leadership that encourages team input and innovation.

Qualifications

  • Proven technical expertise in Modular Buildings, Timber‑Frame Buildings, Steel‑Framed Buildings, Bathroom Pods or Sips Panels, or strong technical experience in Main Contracting / Traditional Build.
  • Knowledge and experience with Building Regulation‑compliant solutions and familiarity with the Building Safety Act.
  • Experience working on projects in the Education, Commercial or Healthcare sectors is highly desirable.
  • Strong record of successfully delivering projects in the £500,000 to £15,000,000 range.
  • A self‑sufficient, driven and enthusiastic attitude, coupled with flexibility, gravitas and a strong desire to succeed.
  • Positive approach, excellent teamwork skills and a willingness to take on responsibility and lead initiatives.
