Overview
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
We are recruiting for a Business Development Manager to join our client\’s team in Scotland as they build on their success. Building Materials experience required.
The successful candidate will be instrumental in driving new business within our expanding company. You will work closely with our internal sales teams to identify the right opportunities and build long-term relations with the right prospects.
What will you be doing?
- Take an active approach towards identifying new opportunities
- Complete construction bids and monitor and manage bid activity
- Coordinate and assist in the proposal process
- Build a proposal template library that can be used by the entire sales department
- Convince prospects and current customers to buy-in
- Create development plans and growth projects
What do you need to be a Business Development Manager?
- Excellent analytical skills to conduct market and customer research
- Ability to collaborate at different levels including estimators, customers, decision-makers and contractors
- Able to build a network and manage customer relations
- Excellent work ethic, punctuality and reliability
- Initiative and the capability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Good attention to detail and careful precision to meet targets
