Role Accountabilities:

  • Write and deliver internal toolbox talks and training.
  • Input and manage incident recording to identify opportunities for improvement and generate reports.
  • Support the H&S Manager with the investigation of incidents and the preparation of incident reports.
  • Support the H&S Manager in reviewing risk assessments, safety method statements and procedures.
  • Develop internal Safety, Health and Environmental monitoring checklists.
  • Facilitate the internal training online platform.
  • Assist the H&S Manager with internal audits.
  • Coordinate HSE meetings, take minutes, and track action points.

Person Specification

The Candidate:

  • Education: Degree in a relevant Safety, Health, and Environment discipline or equivalent qualification.
  • Commitment to continuing learning to complete accredited qualifications.
  • Interest in achieving chartered status with IOSH.
  • Skills: Excellent communication skills with an ability to influence and engage colleagues at all levels.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous, organized, and able to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Additional: Full UK car driving license.
  • Previous experience with health and safety checks, monitoring or auditing.
  • Familiar with risk assessments and how to write them.
