Due to a drive for greater success, this advanced manufacturing business is currently searching for a Principal Quality Engineer to add to their talented, hardworking team in Barrow on an initial 12-month contract. This role will be offering £46.18 per hour travel per hour inside IR35 / Umbrella.

The Role
The role of the Principal Quality Engineer is to provide specialist guidance and support to the Quality Function whilst ensuring that the Business Unit remains compliant to the local Quality Business Management System.
Duties
- Ability to critique and tailor issues in reports/presentations.
- Carry out assessments IAW schedule.
- Ability to carry out complex Quality activities in SQEP area.
- Carry out routine and non-routine inspection work as required.
The Skills
- Understanding and application of ISO 9001/ EN9100 standards.
- Subject Matter Expert (SME) in own discipline within Quality and a broad understanding of other Quality related disciplines.
- Understanding of Business Management Systems, Operational Framework and Operational Assurance process.
- Understanding the importance of cross-functional integration across the Business Unit to achieve overall goals of the Function.
- Export requirements knowledge (for example International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)) (where applicable).
