About the role
We are seeking a People Systems & Data Analyst to support the implementation, development and optimisation of our first HR Information System (HRIS). This is a unique opportunity to modernise how we manage people data, processes and systems across a growing Multi Academy Trust – and beyond. Working closely with the Head of People Operations, you will take day‑to‑day ownership of the HRIS, ensuring it is configured effectively, embedded into our people processes and continuously improved to support efficiency, compliance and a great user experience. You’ll collaborate with HR, Finance, school leaders and external suppliers to ensure the system meets the needs of a dynamic and expanding organisation. Excitingly, you will also work across both Trusts (which will use the same HRIS) and support the alignment of data standards, system configuration and people processes. This is a chance to influence HR practices at scale, strengthen collaboration now and be ready for future integration. This role sits at the heart of our digital and organisational development journey. You’ll enjoy analysing data, improving processes and challenging existing practices to help us build sustainable, modern and user‑centred HR systems.
About you
You will bring a blend of HR systems experience, analytical capability and a genuine curiosity about how things work and how they can be improved. You’re someone who asks the right questions, seeks purpose in every process and is committed to strengthening how people data is collected, used and assured. With strong analytical skills and exceptional attention to detail, you turn data into meaningful insights, and you thrive in a collaborative team that values shared problem solving and delivering high‑quality outputs.
What you’ll bring:
- Experience working with HRIS or HR/payroll systems, with a natural curiosity for how processes and data can be improved.
- Strong analytical skills, able to interrogate complex datasets, spot patterns to ask the right questions, and turn insights into meaningful action.
- Proven ability to produce clear, meaningful HR reports and dashboards that drive decision‑making and measurable outcomes.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to high‑quality, reliable data.
- Confident IT skills, including Excel and reporting tools, with the ability to collaborate effectively and communicate technical information in a clear, accessible way.
Desirable:
- Experience with statutory HR reporting (e.g. School Workforce Census, Gender Pay Gap).
- Familiarity with education‑based payroll systems, integrated HR/payroll platforms and/or experience working in a school or Multi Academy Trust.
This is more than just a systems role – it’s a chance to transform the way we work, as we modernise our HR function, and be a key player in our digital and organisational growth journey.
