We are looking for a Client Accountant to join our offices in London. In this position you will play a key role in the growth of our Corporate Services business.
Your responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly management accounts for several entities under UK GAAP using Microsoft Business Central.
- Liaise with companies’ auditors and prepare audit files required by the auditors.
- Liaise with companies’ tax advisers to ensure corporation tax return is filed and on time.
- Preparation of financial statements under FRS 102 using CCH accounts production software and reviewing work performed by the Junior Financial Account Managers.
- Complete and submit quarterly VAT returns.
- Complete VAT registration for clients and review VAT returns prepared by Junior Financial Account Managers.
- Produce ad hoc reports and analysis as and when required by the Client.
- Maintain client relationships at the appropriate level and maintain favourable impression of the Company.
- Attend board meetings where necessary.
- Close involvement with UK cash management team in respect of client payment administrations.
- Work closely with Company Secretary department to ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
- Delegate tasks for development purposes and provide appropriate support and supervision.
- Review and revise existing accounting practices and procedures for any changes in accounting standards.
People Management:
- Identify development needs for Junior members of staff, including but not limited to providing training, mentoring, feedback, and recognition.
- Work closely with Junior members of the team to solve issues and problems and ensure the continuous high quality and timeliness of service.
- Keep up to date with new accounting standards and instruct/guide Junior members of the team.
- Make recommendations and offer suggestions and solutions for improvements to services.
Your profile:
- Part Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent).
- Solid knowledge of management accounts production under UK GAAP (FRS102).
- Experience producing financial statements under UK GAAP (FRS 102).
- A credible individual with intellectual ability and a hands‑on approach.
- Excellent English language skills.
