A leading Main Contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Document Controller to join a busy project team on a flagship construction project. This is a fully site-based position where you will take ownership of the project's document control function, ensuring all project information is managed accurately and efficiently through Asite.
The Role
As the Document Controller, you will play a critical role in maintaining document compliance and ensuring the smooth flow of project information between the client, consultants, subcontractors, and site team.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all project documentation using Asite
- Upload, distribute, track, and archive drawings and technical documents
- Maintain document registers, workflows, and revision controls
- Ensure all project documentation is compliant with company and client procedures
- Process incoming and outgoing correspondence
- Monitor document status and ensure timely responses from project stakeholders
- Support project teams with document retrieval and reporting
- Coordinate the issue of drawings, specifications, RFIs, and technical submissions
- Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, and client representatives regarding document requirements
- Assist with site administration duties as required
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Document Controller within the construction industry
- Strong working knowledge of Asite is essential
- Experience working for a Main Contractor or Tier 1 Contractor is highly desirable
- Excellent document management and organisational skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
