Title: Contracts Manager

They are currently looking for a Contracts Manager who is able to manage up to 3 projects at any one time at various stages of the construction process. Experience of pre-construction and tendering is essential.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

Contract Management:

  1. Ensure that contracts comply with legal requirements, company policies, and industry standards.
  2. Manage and resolve disputes, claims and any contractual issues that arise during the project lifecycle.
  3. Oversee the preparation of change orders, extensions of time, and other contract-related documentation.
  4. Identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks related to contract terms and project execution.
  5. Ensure that risks are communicated and managed effectively with all stakeholders.
  6. Develop strategies to address any emerging risks and reduce the impact on project timelines and budgets.

Coordination & Communication:

  1. Act as the main point of contact for all contract-related matters for multiple ongoing projects.
  2. Collaborate with Project Managers, legal teams, procurement, and other departments to ensure timely and accurate contract execution.
  3. Provide regular updates and reports to senior management regarding contract status, risks, and performance.
  4. Monitor and track project budgets, ensuring that contracts adhere to cost controls.
  5. Review and approve invoices, payment applications, and claims submitted by sub-contractors and suppliers.
  6. Support financial forecasting and budgeting by identifying potential cost overruns or savings in contracts.
  7. Oversee sub-contractor and supplier agreements, ensuring compliance with terms and performance standards.
  8. Facilitate the procurement process and ensure contracts are in place for all necessary services and materials.

Candidate Requirements

Qualifications:

  1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in Contracts Management, preferably with experience of overseeing HQR projects.
  2. Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  4. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with attention to detail and accuracy.
