An established main contractor delivering projects across Central London is looking to appoint an M&E Quantity Surveyor or Senior M&E Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on high-profile London projects, taking responsibility for the commercial management of mechanical and electrical packages from procurement through to final account. The company has a strong pipeline of work across Central London and offers the chance to join a stable and well-established commercial team delivering complex construction projects. They are open to candidates from either a main contractor or specialist M&E subcontractor background, provided you have strong commercial experience managing M&E packages.

Key Responsibilities

  • Commercial management of mechanical and electrical packages
  • Supporting procurement and subcontractor appointment
  • Managing subcontractor accounts and commercial performance
  • Preparation and management of valuations, variations and change control
  • Cost reporting and financial forecasting
  • Working closely with project delivery, technical and design teams
  • Monitoring project costs and ensuring budgets are maintained
  • Supporting the project through to agreement of final accounts
  • Ensuring commercial processes and reporting are maintained to a high standard

Requirements

  • Experience working as an M&E Quantity Surveyor or Senior M&E Quantity Surveyor
  • Strong commercial experience managing mechanical and electrical packages
  • Background working for either a main contractor or specialist M&E subcontractor
  • Good understanding of procurement, variations, cost reporting and final accounts
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work within a project team
  • Experience delivering projects within London would be advantageous
