Freelance Fit Out Project Manager in City of London

Project Scope: CAT A Fit-Out across 3 floors

Reporting To: Visiting Contracts Manager

Team Structure: 1 Site Manager reporting to you

My Client is seeking an experienced and driven Project Manager to lead the delivery of a high-profile CAT A commercial fit-out in the heart of Central London. This £4M project spans three floors and demands precision, leadership, and a strong grasp of fit-out delivery in occupied or high-spec environments.

As the Project Manager, you will be the on-site lead, responsible for driving programme, managing subcontractors, ensuring health & safety compliance, and maintaining client satisfaction throughout the build. You\’ll report to a Visiting Contracts Manager and have a dedicated Site Manager supporting you on-site.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of the CAT A fit-out across three floors
• Manage site operations, subcontractors, and programme delivery
• Ensure compliance with health & safety and quality standards
• Liaise with the client, consultants, and internal teams
• Report progress and issues to the Visiting Contracts Manager
• Lead and mentor the Site Manager

Requirements

• Proven experience managing CAT A or CAT B commercial fit-outs
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to manage complex programmes and multiple stakeholders
• SMSTS, CSCS (Black or White), and First Aid certifications preferred
• Experience delivering projects in Central is a plus
