A highly respected and financially secure Tier 2 Main Contractor is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of a flagship £12M Community Hub development in Bracknell. With an annual turnover of approximately £180M, this contractor has built an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality public sector, education, commercial, residential, and community-focused projects throughout the South East. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured work, they are looking to appoint a Project Manager to take full responsibility for this exciting scheme.
The Project
This £12M steel frame development will provide a modern community hub incorporating:
- Sports hall facilities
- Office accommodation
- Community and leisure spaces
- Associated external works and infrastructure
The project is currently entering construction and offers the successful candidate the opportunity to take ownership from an early stage through to completion.
The Role
Reporting directly to a Contracts Manager, you will be the Number 1 on site with full responsibility for the successful delivery of the project. You will lead a dedicated site team consisting of:
- Site Manager
- Quantity Surveyor
Key responsibilities will include:
- Overall project planning, programming, and delivery
- Managing site operations, quality, health & safety, and programme
- Leading client, consultant, and subcontractor relationships
- Managing project budgets and commercial performance alongside the Quantity Surveyor
- Chairing site meetings and reporting progress to senior management
- Coordinating subcontractors and ensuring works are delivered to specification
- Driving quality standards and ensuring successful project handover
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Project Manager working for a Main Contractor
- Experience delivering steel frame projects from start to finish
- Background delivering projects within the education, community, leisure, commercial, or public sector sectors would be advantageous
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to manage programmes, budgets, and stakeholder relationships effectively
- SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid qualifications
