About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Technical Manager to join a leading Tier 1 developer on a 6‐month freelance contract, working on a major high‐volume, high‐rise residential project.

This role will play a critical part in managing the technical design output, with a particular focus on reviewing and approving internal and external design packages across various stages of the project lifecycle.

You\’ll be working closely with consultants, internal delivery teams, and external contractors to ensure design intent is maintained, compliance standards are met, and construction documentation is coordinated and buildable.

Key Responsibilities

Review, comment on, and approve architectural, structural, and services drawings for both internal and external packages

Coordinate with design consultants to resolve clashes and design issues

Ensure documentation is aligned with project brief, buildability, and compliance requirements

Maintain a clear record of drawing reviews, approvals, and outstanding issues

Provide technical guidance and input across disciplines as required

Liaise with construction and delivery teams to support effective site implementation

Attend coordination and design review meetings as required

About You

Proven experience as a Technical Manager or Design Manager on large‐scale high‐rise residential projects

Background working for developers, top‐tier contractors, or design consultancies

Strong technical understanding of internal and external package design, detailing, and compliance

Excellent knowledge of NCC, BCA, and relevant Australian standards

Confident in reviewing consultant drawings and coordinating RFI processes

Ability to work independently in a fast‐paced project environment

Relevant tertiary qualifications in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management
