Technical Design Specialist – 3D Modelling & ERP Integration Location: Coalville/Hybrid | Competitive Salary + Bonus + Excellent Benefits Overview: A leading UK housebuilding group is seeking a talented Technical Design Specialist to join their bedroom furnishings division. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in a division going through a modernisation programme, including the implementation of a new ERP system and a refreshed product catalogue. You will be instrumental in driving forward product data accuracy, 3D design, and system integration to improve operational efficiency across the business. Key Responsibilities: * Create and maintain highly accurate 3D models of products using Autodesk Inventor, ensuring all attributes, dimensions, and appearances reflect the physical product specifications. * Support the seamless integration of product data into a new ERP system (Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central). * Assist in capturing all house types across the business and matching them with suitable product options. * Work with internal technical teams and external CPQ providers to develop clear and robust business rules, ensuring only suitable product options are presented to customers. * Take a proactive lead in solution design workshops, contributing technical expertise to ensure system solutions are fit for purpose and support future business needs. Skills & Experience Required: * Proven experience working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is essential. * Proficient in Autodesk Inventor, with excellent attention to detail and accuracy. * Previous experience as a 3D CAD Technician or similar design role within a manufacturing or product-based industry. * Strong knowledge of Bill of Materials (BOM) creation and management. * Demonstrated ability to successfully implement 3D drawings into operational business processes. * Exceptional communication and organisational skills, with the ability to engage cross-functional teams. * A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with experience in delivering complex technical projects.
