Role: Night Shift Site Manager/Working Foreman (Refurbishment of Health Centre) Location: North London Hours: 7:00 PM – 5:00 AM (Roughly) Contract Type: Freelance We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Site Manager / Working Foreman for a night shift role to oversee a refurbishment project at a health centre in North London. The scope of works includes small repairs, ceiling repairs, making good, and some minor temporary works within a live building environment. You’ll be responsible for ensuring the site is clean and ready for operation each morning. This role would suit a hands-on Site Manager (working foreman) who is proactive, enjoys getting involved in the practical side of things, and has a solid understanding of health and safety protocols. You’ll be working at night and will need to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently while maintaining the safety and cleanliness of the site. Key Responsibilities: * Oversee the general refurbishment works, including minor repairs, ceiling works, and making good throughout the night. * Work alongside trades and assist with tasks when needed, ensuring efficient work progress. * Ensure all required permits and documentation are obtained and maintained, including issuing permits and accurately completing paperwork. * Ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations and practices, conducting regular site inspections. * Coordinate and manage night-time works with minimal disruption to the live building’s operations. * Maintain a clean, safe, and organized site, ensuring the premises are fully ready for opening each morning. * Complete and submit daily progress reports to the Contracts Manager detailing completed work, issues, and future planning. Previous experience as a Site Manager on refurbishment projects, ideally within the public sector or similar environment. Hands-on experience with general refurbishments, including minor repairs and temporary works. Strong knowledge of health and safety practices and regulations on construction sites. Ability to manage paperwork accurately, including permits, progress reports, and compliance documents.
