We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee a refurbishment project at a school in Royston, Hertfordshire. This is a 5-week contract requiring a proactive and hands-on Site Manager with a proven track record of delivering refurbishment projects safely, on time, and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day running of the refurbishment project.
- Coordinate subcontractors and site activities.
- Ensure works are completed safely, efficiently, and in line with programme.
- Maintain high standards of health and safety and site compliance.
- Liaise with the client, project team, and school representatives.
- Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks, and regular safety inspections.
- Monitor quality, progress, and productivity throughout the project.
Requirements
- Previous experience managing refurbishment projects.
- Valid SMSTS certificate.
- Valid CSCS Card.
- First Aid at Work qualification.
- Enhanced DBS certificate (essential and must be current).
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple trades and maintain programme deadlines.
