Job Title: Site Manager – Social Housing (External Works) Location: Clapham Junction Contract Type: Freelance Salary: £230 – £250 a day We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to set up a site and to then oversee the external repair works to a low-rise social housing apartment block. This is a live, occupied environment, so strong resident liaison management skills are essential. Scope of Works The project involves external refurbishment works, including but not limited to: * Site set-up and logistics management * Scaffolding coordination and oversight * Brickwork and masonry repairs * General external fabric repairs * Health & safety management in a live environment Key Responsibilities * Day-to-day management of site activities to ensure works are delivered safely, on time, and to specification * Managing subcontractors and coordinating trades on site * Maintaining high standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance * Acting as the primary point of contact for residents, ensuring clear communication and minimal disruption * Managing access, sequencing works around residents, and resolving issues sensitively and professionally * Liaising with the client, housing provider, and other stakeholders * Ensuring site records, RAMS, and reporting are maintained accurately Essential Experience & Requirements * Proven experience as a Site Manager on social housing or occupied residential projects * Demonstrable experience managing live environments with resident interaction * Strong knowledge of external works such as scaffolding and brickwork repairs * SMSTS (or SSSTS depending on project requirements) * First Aid at Work * CSCS Card * Excellent communication and organisational skills For more information, please apply within or contact Aaron Billett at CSC Recruitment
