Our client is a leading Tier 1 residential developer known for delivering high-quality residential projects within London. We are currently recruiting a quantity surveyor to join our projects team in Acton. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing the procurement process across multiple packages. You will play a key role in procuring particular packages and delivering them, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Your responsibilities will include managing subcontractor payments, cost control, and providing accurate reporting to ensure the successful delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the procurement process for multiple packages.
- Close our final accounts.
- Monitor subcontractor performance and compliance with contracts, ensuring timely payments and addressing any discrepancies.
- Provide regular updates to senior management regarding project costs, progress, and potential risks.
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery of projects.
- Assist in value engineering exercises and identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining project quality.
- Manage the preparation and submission of progress claims and variations, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions related to the project.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the residential development sector, ideally with Tier 1 developers or contractors.
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes, cost control, and subcontractor management.
- Excellent understanding of construction contracts and financial management.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver on time and within budget.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
