Freelance Quantity Surveyor – East London Location: South East London Contract Length: 12 months Reporting To: Commercial Manager Project: 550-unit residential scheme Day Rate: Competitive (DOE) Start Date: ASAP We\’re working with a leading contractor delivering a 550-unit residential development in East London. They are looking to bring in a Freelance Quantity Surveyor to join their established commercial team of ten. The Role You\’ll report directly to the Commercial Manager and take ownership of three major packages. The role is package-focused, and you\’ll be expected to manage these from procurement through to final account with minimal supervision. Key Responsibilities Manage three high-value packages across the full commercial lifecycle Oversee procurement and subcontractor appointment Handle CVRs, variations, valuations, and final accounts Collaborate with internal teams and subcontractors to maintain cost control Provide regular commercial reporting to the Commercial Manager Requirements Strong experience in package management on large residential schemes Background with a main contractor or developer Able to work independently and hit the ground running Available to start immediately or at short notice This is an excellent opportunity to secure a long-term freelance position on a major scheme, working within an experienced and supportive commercial team.
