The Role
Reporting to the MQS / Commercial Lead, you will manage commercial activities across one or more projects from pre-construction through to final account.
Key Responsibilities
- Support pre-construction cost planning and tendering
- Subcontractor procurement and package buy-out
- Contract administration (D&B and traditional forms)
- Variation and change management
- Cost reporting and forecasting
- Risk and value management
- Client and consultant liaison
- Final account negotiation and agreement
Candidate Requirements
- Experience as a Quantity Surveyor with a main contractor
- Exposure to D&B and refurbishment projects preferred
- Strong subcontract procurement and negotiation skills
- Good working knowledge of JCT contracts
- Commercially astute and detail-focused
- Confident communicator with client-facing ability
- Able to manage multiple workstreams
- Relevant degree or equivalent practical experience
