The Role

Reporting to the MQS / Commercial Lead, you will manage commercial activities across one or more projects from pre-construction through to final account.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support pre-construction cost planning and tendering
  • Subcontractor procurement and package buy-out
  • Contract administration (D&B and traditional forms)
  • Variation and change management
  • Cost reporting and forecasting
  • Risk and value management
  • Client and consultant liaison
  • Final account negotiation and agreement

Candidate Requirements

  • Experience as a Quantity Surveyor with a main contractor
  • Exposure to D&B and refurbishment projects preferred
  • Strong subcontract procurement and negotiation skills
  • Good working knowledge of JCT contracts
  • Commercially astute and detail-focused
  • Confident communicator with client-facing ability
  • Able to manage multiple workstreams
  • Relevant degree or equivalent practical experience
