I am currently working on behalf of a forward-thinking and well-established Main Contractor with a strong presence across the UK and Ireland, who are looking to appoint an experienced Building Services Manager for a key project based in Oxford. The Role
- As Building Services Manager, you will take ownership of the design, coordination, delivery, and commissioning of MEP services on a high-value construction project.
- Managing the design, drawing, and approval process in line with the project programme.
- Working closely with pre-construction teams to ensure client requirements are fully understood and reflected in proposals.
- Ensuring all building services are coordinated, integrated, and delivered on time.
- Driving compliance with building regulations, planning conditions, and specifications.
- Supporting planning teams to ensure MEP elements are fully integrated into delivery programmes.
- Implementing and maintaining quality control systems to meet high standards.
- Monitoring progress and ensuring specialist subcontractors are appropriately resourced.
- Supporting commercial and quantity surveying teams with variations and valuations.
- Managing the commissioning process, ensuring systems operate as designed and end users are fully trained.
- Attending and leading client, technical, and commissioning meetings.
Requirements
- A strong background in Mechanical or Electrical Building Services within a Main Contractor, Consultancy, or Subcontractor environment.
- One of the following (or equivalent): BTEC in Building Services Engineering / Operations & Maintenance, HNC / HND in Mechanical or Electrical Building Services, Degree in Building Services Engineering.
- Proven experience delivering MEP packages on construction projects.
