The Role

Ideally, your time will be split across three to four smaller projects, although larger schemes may require full-time site presence.

Key responsibilities will include

- Setting up sites and coordinating labour, subcontractors, materials and site logistics.
- Managing and coordinating mechanical services, including HVAC, air conditioning, ventilation, LTHW, CHW and BMS.

- Tracking costs, variations, progress and package performance against budget.
- Maintaining high standards of quality, health and safety, and site documentation.
- Providing regular progress updates and reporting key issues to the Directors.
- Overseeing testing, commissioning, snagging and final handover.
- Proactively planning site visits and managing competing priorities across multiple projects.
- The Ideal Candidate
- Proven experience managing mechanical packages on commercial office fit out projects, with values ranging from £50k to £1m.
- Strong technical knowledge of mechanical building services, including HVAC, AC, ventilation, LTHW, CHW and BMS.
- Confident making independent technical, sizing and coordination decisions.
- Highly organised, self-motivated and capable of working without close supervision.
- An excellent communicator who can build positive relationships with clients, consultants, contractors and site teams.
- Commercially aware, with the ability to manage relationships collaboratively while standing firm when necessary.
- A proactive, adaptable and solutions-focused individual with a genuine can-do attitude.
- Based within a commutable distance of London and happy to travel between sites.
- Available to start ASAP.
- Support & Opportunity
Although this role requires someone who can take ownership and operate independently, you won't be left to figure everything out alone.
You'll receive guidance and support from two Directors who regularly visit sites two to three days per week and are available to attend key meetings or provide additional backing when required.
