Mobile Maintenance Engineer - Plumbing

I'm currently recruiting for an experienced Mobile Maintenance Engineer - Plumbing to join an established and highly regarded building services contractor, working across a portfolio of commercial and high-profile sites throughout London and the surrounding areas.
This is a great opportunity for a qualified plumber with strong commercial maintenance experience who is looking for a varied mobile role, working across planned and reactive maintenance, water systems and general building services.
The Role
- As a Mobile Maintenance Engineer, you'll be responsible for carrying out PPM, reactive repairs, compliance checks and minor installation works across a range of client sites.
- You’ll be working on a variety of commercial plumbing and water systems, including:
- Domestic hot and cold-water systems
- Booster sets and pumps
- Pressurisation units
- Expansion vessels
- Thermostatic Mixing Valves (TMVs)
- Drainage systems
- Water hygiene and Legionella control
- Minor plumbing installations and remedial works
- You’ll also be expected to carry out accurate reporting through a CAFM/mobile workforce system, ensuring jobs, compliance records and site reports are kept up to date.
- The role is customer-facing, so strong communication skills and a professional approach are important. You’ll be dealing directly with clients, colleagues, subcontractors and suppliers across the portfolio.
What We're Looking For
- City & Guilds / NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing or an equivalent qualification
- Full UK Manual Driving Licence
- 3+ years' commercial building services/maintenance experience
- Strong experience with commercial plumbing and hot water systems
- Experience working with pumps, booster sets, pressurisation units and expansion vessels
- Good fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Knowledge of water regulations and plumbing standards
- Water hygiene and Legionella awareness
- Experience using CAFM systems or mobile workforce technology
- Experience working to RAMS and Permit to Work procedures
- Strong customer-facing and communication skills
Additional qualifications such as TMV servicing, L8 Responsible Person, IOSH, IPAF, PASMA, Asbestos Awareness or Working at Height would be advantageous.
