Our client is a small main contractor that undertakes refurbishment projects within the following sectors: Heritage, Private, Healthcare, Education and Social Housing (maintenance). Their project value ranges from £100k - £6m. They are currently looking for a Contracts Manager to join the business on a permanent basis.
As the Contracts Manager, you will be managing between 2 – 4 projects at any given time covering the specified sectors and values. Our client's office is based near Bermondsey; however, this role will be somewhat roaming, covering projects across London – typically South East.
Typical day-to-day responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
- Reporting into the Operations Director and overseeing a number of Project/Site Managers & Site Teams in general
- Responsible for the delivery of a portfolio of projects including programming
- Implementing H&S processes across sites and ensuring compliance
- Identifying risk and opportunity
- Identifying any issues and ensuring a suitable resolution is found
- Working with the commercial team in managing budgets
- Chairing progress meetings and various other team meetings
- Progress reporting upstream to the senior team and client
- Liaising with local authorities and clients
- Ensuring logistics plans are successfully implemented
