We are seeking an experienced Finishing Manager to join our team and lead the final stages of a prestigious high-end school project. Working with a well-regarded main contractor, you will be responsible for the successful close-out of all internal packages, ensuring they are delivered to the highest standards of quality, detail, and finish.

This is a critical role in the project's final phase, ideal for someone who takes pride in craftsmanship, has a sharp eye for detail, and can coordinate effectively with subcontractors and site teams to meet tight deadlines without compromising on quality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all internal finishing works including joinery, ceilings, flooring, M&E final fixes, and decorative finishes.
  • Ensure all works are completed in line with design specifications and snag-free prior to handover.
  • Coordinate and drive subcontractors to deliver high-quality workmanship within programme constraints.
  • Maintain site cleanliness, safety, and compliance with regulations.
  • Conduct detailed snagging and de-snagging processes and manage quality assurance documentation.
  • Work closely with the Site Manager, Project Manager, and client-side teams to ensure smooth project close-out.
  • Ensure timely handover of rooms/zones to client representatives.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Finishing Manager or similar role on high-quality internal fit-out projects ideally experience of working on school projects.
  • Strong background working with main contractors on complex, design-led builds – ideally in the education or commercial sectors.
  • Excellent eye for detail and ability to uphold the highest standards of quality.
  • Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
  • SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid are essential.
