We are seeking an experienced and proactive Finishing Manager to join our team on a major school refurbishment project involving the renovation of 50+ student bedrooms and associated communal areas. This is a key site-based role, responsible for driving the project through the final stages of construction, ensuring all works are completed to the highest standards of quality, safety, and programme requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate all finishing trades across the project.
  • Oversee quality control and ensure all works meet project specifications and client expectations.
  • Produce, monitor, and close out snagging lists.
  • Coordinate inspections with the client, consultants, and subcontractors.
  • Ensure bedrooms and communal areas are completed and handed over in line with programme milestones.
  • Monitor subcontractor performance and maintain productivity on site.
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety requirements.
  • Work closely with the Project Manager and Site Manager to achieve successful project delivery.
  • Manage final commissioning, testing, and handover activities where required.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Finishing Manager on refurbishment or fit-out projects.
  • Strong knowledge of finishing trades and quality standards.
