Must have construction or architectural experience! The Digital BIM Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and managing Building Information Modelling (BIM) processes across design and construction teams. The role ensures that digital information is produced, shared, and maintained in line with BIM Execution Plans (BEP), project standards, and industry best practice. You will act as the key link between designers, engineers, contractors, and clients to ensure accurate, clash-free, and compliant digital models throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate BIM models across multiple disciplines (architectural, structural, and MEP)
- Manage and maintain the Common Data Environment (CDE) in line with ISO 19650 standards
- Support the implementation and enforcement of BIM Execution Plans (BEPs)
- Carry out clash detection and model coordination using tools such as Navisworks or Solibri
- Ensure models comply with project BIM standards, naming conventions, and workflows
- Assist project teams with model setup, federated models, and data validation
- Support information exchanges at key project stages (RIBA / Gateway stages)
- Provide BIM support and guidance to internal and external project teams
- Assist in the production of digital deliverables including drawings, schedules, and asset data
- Participate in BIM coordination meetings and report on model progress and issues
- Support handover of digital information for Asset Information Models (AIM)
