Job Title: Contracts Manager Location: Kent (with projects across London & Home Counties) Salary: £65,000 – £75,000 + Package Industry: Subcontracting – Commercial, Residential, Life Science, and Modular Sectors Our client is a well-established, medium-sized subcontractor with sustainable plans to move into main contractor in the near future. They have a proven track record of delivering high-quality projects across various sectors, including commercial, residential, life sciences, and modular. With a focus on large-scale packages such as carpentry/joinery, drylining, decoration, cladding, and facades, we are looking for an experienced and driven Contracts Manager to join our clients dynamic team to help the growth of the business. Key Responsibilities: * Oversee and manage multiple contracts from inception to completion across a range of sectors, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. * Lead and coordinate site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution. * Develop and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring satisfaction and the identification of new business opportunities. * Manage project costs, resources, and timelines, providing regular updates to senior management and clients. * Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, quality standards, and industry best practices. * Review and negotiate contracts and variations, ensuring the company\’s interests are protected. * Attend site meetings and conduct site inspections to ensure projects are progressing as planned. * Resolve any contractual or technical issues in a proactive and efficient manner. Requirements: * Proven experience in a Contracts Manager role, ideally within the subcontracting sector. * Strong knowledge of the construction industry, particularly in carpentry/joinery, drylining, decoration, cladding, and facades. * Experience managing large-scale projects, with a clear understanding of budget control and contract administration. * Excellent communication and negotiation skills. * A strong track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously. * Full understanding of health and safety legislation and best practices. * A relevant degree or professional qualification (e.g., in construction management or quantity surveying) is advantageous. * A proactive, problem-solving attitude with a focus on delivering exceptional results. * A full UK driving licence, as the role will require travel to sites across London and the Home Counties.
