CSC Recruitment is working in partnership with a leading Tier 1 main contractor to recruit an Estimator for their Central London office.
With a strong pipeline of secured work across London and the South East, our client delivers a diverse range of projects spanning commercial, healthcare, education, residential, life sciences and mixed-use developments, typically valued between £20m and £250m.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly regarded pre-construction team, working on high-profile projects from tender stage through to contract award.
The Role
- Prepare accurate cost estimates and tender submissions.
- Review drawings, specifications and tender documentation.
- Obtain and assess subcontractor and supplier quotations.
- Identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving solutions.
- Work closely with the Pre-Construction Manager, Design Team and Operations throughout the bid process.
- Attend tender meetings and client presentations where required.
Requirements
- Previous experience as an Estimator within a UK main contractor.
- Experience pricing projects across one or more of the following sectors: commercial, healthcare, education, residential or mixed-use.
- Strong understanding of construction methods and procurement routes.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Relevant construction qualification preferred.
